ROCK metal band WEAK13 are set to celebrate 15 years in the Black Country with a special event next month.

The band, fronted by Nick J Townsend, will be hosting a double album pre-release listening party and preview screening of their new claymation mini movie featuring mini clay figures of Nick and the band.

Originally from Kidderminster, the band relaunched in the Black Country in 2010 and have been based here ever since.

Fans attending the album listening party, which will be held on Saturday December 7 at Base Studios in Rufford Road, Stourbridge, will get a sneak preview of the claymation mini movie ahead of its 2025 release to the public online.

Listening party guests will receive a free limited edition Black spine CD of the forthcoming double album ‘Aluminium’ straight after the screening of the short film that has taken hours of painstaking work to put together.

WEAK13 singer and guitarist Nick J Townsend said: "The album is our best work to date and it's going to be great to finally share with the public what all the fuss is about.

“We wanted to make sure we did something very special for this release. It’s been years in the making and the largest production we’ve ever done.

“Hundreds of hours have been invested into this and we hope our audience appreciates it.”

At the start of this year the band enjoyed radio airplay on BBC 6 after releasing a satirical single, entitled On the BBC, with an all-singing all-dancing tongue in cheek music video which poked fun at the British Broadcasting Corporation.

Tickets for the ‘Aluminium’ listening party and film screening times can be obtained from Nick J Townsend, by emailing weak13press@gmail.com.
