A CAR collided with a wall in an underpass and overturned in a crash which closed a busy main road last night.
The crash happened on the A456 Quinton Expressway at around 9.20pm last night (Saturday November 16).
Police, firefighters and medics were at the scene, with police appealing for witnesses.
A driver and passenger were treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to hospital, a spokesperson for West Midlands Fire Service said.
They were a man and a woman aged 20 and 17.
Fire crews from Woodgate Valley, Oldbury, Smethwick and Highgate attended the crash and made the scene safe.
The spokesperson said the casualties did not suffer life-changing injuries.
Fire crews left the scene at 10.05pm.
The incident caused tailbacks as the road was closed.
West Midlands Police said: "We attended a collision involving two vehicles on Quinton Expressway, Birmingham at around 9.15pm last night (16 Nov).
"A man and a woman were taken to hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening.
