A free scheme to help new businesses in Dudley has put a taxi firm on the road to success.
Ammar Saleh has completed a start-up course for entrepreneurs financed by Dudley Borough Council from the government’s shared prosperity fund and run by consultants Good2Great.
Ammar has launched AS Travels after attending the two-day workshops. It provides transport and luggage assistance for university students.
Ammar, who is based in Halesowen, said: “Our customers are primarily university students who need convenient and affordable transport options and travellers who want hassle-free airport transfers.
“We also do school runs, hotel contracts, home care moving, weddings and long trips and our clients appreciate our safe, reliable service.
“The support from Good2Great was really appreciated and valued and I look forward to working with their consultants in the future as I expand my business wider.”
The next workshops are being held in Brierley Hill Library on December 10 and 11. Up to 16 people can take part in each workshop.
Bridgnorth-based Good2Great is working with the council to deliver the package of support for small businesses to get them up and running with their ideas.
Anyone interested in joining the workshops, which run from 9.30am to 4.30pm, can contact Tamsin Preece on 01746 330730.
