A MAN has been charged with robbery and assaulting a police officer after a car was taken in Wombourne.
Callum Talbot, aged 23, of HMP Featherstone, has been charged with robbery and assault by beating of an emergency worker.
It comes after a Volkswagen Golf R was taken on Brooke Road on September 11 this year.
The car has since been recovered.
An officer was later assaulted in custody but was not injured.
Talbot is due to appear at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre on December 19.
