A DELIVERY driver suffered serious injuries when she was attacked by two dogs in Brierley Hill.
A man in his 40s and two women, one in her 70s and the second in her 50s, have been arrested on suspicion of owning/being in charge of a dog dangerously out of control in a public place after the driver was attacked in Norwood Road.
The incident happened at around 1.25pm yesterday (Monday December 2) with the woman taken to the QE hospital with serious arm and leg injuries.
The dogs, believed to be rottweilers, were seized from the scene by police and remain in secure kennels as an investigation continues.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: "Three people have been arrested after a woman was seriously injured when she was attacked by dogs yesterday.
"The woman is believed to have been making deliveries in Norwood Road, when two dogs, believed to be rottweilers, attacked her just after 1pm.
"She suffered serious arm and leg injuries and was taken to hospital.
"A man in his 40s and two women, one in her 70s and the second in her 50s, were arrested on suspicion of owning/being in charge of a dog dangerously out of control in a public place.
"They were later released on police bail while enquiries continue."
A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called to reports of a woman being bitten by a dog on Norwood Road in Brierley Hill at around 1.25pm.
"An ambulance was sent to the scene where, on arrival, crews discovered a woman with serious injuries who, following treatment from ambulance staff, was conveyed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital."
