DUDLEY South MP Chris Kelly represented the borough as he cheered on Wagner from the X Factor studio during the results show.
Wagner's MP, who has known the singer for a couple of months, visited the studio on Sunday for the live show and got to see his euphoric reaction as he got voted through to next week's round.
Mr Kelly said: "It was really fascinating to go to the studio.
Like the House of Commons it is much smaller in real life than it appears on TV. I was sat with Wagner’s other friends and supporters and we had really good seats very close to the stage and could see the judges really clearly."
Following the show the MP, who took our 'I'm voting Wagner' poster with him, also met up with his constituent backstage and said he was very popular with fans waiting to meet the contestants.
Mr Kelly said: "He was surprisingly relaxed. He had come straight from a meeting with Louis and was thrilled to have got through, but I told him I had a feeling he was going to go all the way now."
He added: "He is not a typical singing talent show contestant – he certainly stands out from all of the other acts and that’s what gives him his edge.
It was a pleasure to go down as his MP to support him. Spread the word – vote Wagner!"
