PENSNETT X-Factor star Wagner Fiuza-Carrilho joined over 200 people to audition for a job as a breakfast show presenter on Beacon Radio.
The station hosted the auditions to recruit a resident to join presenter Fresh on the morning show, while his co-host Jo Jesmond is on maternity leave.
And Wagner from Blewitt Street, whose father was a radio DJ in his native Brazil, turned up at the Wolverhampton studio for his chance to wow the judges, queuing with the other applicants, while also posing for photos and signing autographs for the other auditionees.
Applicants had a few minutes to impress the judges, with the ten shortlisted people invited into the studio over the course of the week to impress listeners live on air.
Darrell Woodman, Beacon programme director, said: "It was a great day. People were queuing from 7.15am and the last audition took place about 5pm. We were really impressed with the turn out. Everyone was fantastic and really put a lot of effort into their audition."
