HALESOWEN second XI saw their recent unbeaten run come to a shuddeting halt as they fell to a 59 defeat against Wombourne.
Leading the side again was James Moreton and upon winning the toss he elected to bowl.
Stars of the show for Halesowen in the field were Sarfraz Zahoor with 3-38 and Richard Cox (3-50) as Wombourne were restricted to 212 for 9 in 50 overs.
But this turned out to be a winning score as Hales were shot out for 153 in 37.1 overs. Only Lee Garghan (36) and Richard Cox (35) provided any real resistance.
Defeat left the seconds sixth in the league.
There was better news for ths thirds, who ended a run of four straight defeats by hammering Claverley.
After choosing the bat, they struggled initially as only skipper Kevin Davis (37) provided any kind of resistance.
It was left to Eddie Rhodes (46) and Alex Farrar (45) to provide the best partnership of the innings as they took the team to 196 all out.
Though this was seven overs short of their full allocation, in the end it did not matter as the home batsmen crumbled.
Matt Faulkner (5-10) led the charge with a deserved first five wicket haul for the club. Supporting him was Matt Byrne who took 3-11 and Ayaz Safi (2-14) as Claverley surrendered for 58 in 19.2 overs.
