CARL Douglas says his side have to address their indiscipline on the pitch after a 37-6 defeat at South Leicester.
The Dudley and Kingswinford director of rugby said he spoke to his players after the National Three Midlands game and they admitted there was a problem.
But he says they now have to acknowledge it on the pitch having seen three players sin-binned.
He said: “We gave away far too many penalties and that is not a successful platform to build on. It seems to be a recurring theme but it is something that is in control. We took two steps forward with our performance against Scunthorpe but, against South Leicester, it was one step back.
“The referee sees what he or she sees and we have to make sure they see the right things. We Have to make sure we come out all guns blazing against Bournville on Saturday.”
One high point despite the loss was the visit of England coach Stuart Lancaster to the club on Friday: “That was an unprecedented success. He met around 180 mini and junior players.”
Optimism from the Scunthorpe game remained up until half-time. However, during the second 40 minutes errors crept in.
After ten minutes minutes, Dudley were penalised at a ruck and South’s fly-half Ricky Aley made no mistake with his attempt.
Will Cave crossed under the posts for the hosts with Aley adding the extra points.
On 30 minutes following a quick lineout and a ruck, the home side increased their lead when DK were penalised for being off-side. Aley once again landed the kick.
DK attacked from the restart and on the stroke of half-time were awarded a penalty. This time Kieran Pinches landed the points.
Three tries by left wing Conner Smith, fullback Harry Owens and second row Stuart Bale. All three were converted by Ricky Aley.
All DK had to show for their efforts were two Kieran Pinches penalties.
